If you do, don’t forget to leave comments for these incredibly talented, hard-working bloggers. We live for comments here in the blogosphere so share the love when you stop by these sites. Once the Star Wars valentines for my son were finished, I knew it was coming. My daughters started begging me to create something equally cool for them. Hearts and Hershey Kisses just wouldn’t do – they needed something that shouted “I’m too old for cutesy” to all their elementary school friends. Lucky for me Amy over at Living Locurto saved me tons of time by creating this fantastic free iPhone printable. My 11 year-old daughter nearly jumped out of her skin when I showed it to her. I believe her words...

Ok, ok. I know you’re probably getting tired of hearing about circle punches and cardstock but I’ve got one more free printable for you. You see, my nine year-old son, Jack, informed me that Valentine’s Day is far too girly of a holiday and he needed something cool to hand out to his friends. We debated a few options and finally settled on the ultimate manly theme – STAR WARS. After all, nothing says “I don’t do hearts and ribbons” like this guy. I did a search online for Star Wars valentines but found...

Today I’m guest posting at Or So She Says. A great blog dedicated to offering easy solutions to women. You can find everything from parenting tips to makeover ideas, it’s a great resource. If you haven’t seen it yet, hop on over and check it out. Luckily, today I’ve got a guest poster for you to fill in in my absence – and she’s a doll. Her name is Meagan and she contacted me last week asking to do a guest post on easy baby entertainment. Since I spend the vast majority of the daylight hours...

Don’t you just hate forking over cash for store-bought valentines? Not only are they cheap and flimsy but they tend to come in packages of 16 so you’re forced to buy multiple boxes – not to mention the treats to go with them. There are loads of great free options out there in the blogosphere (here’s a good link if you’re looking for ideas) but I thought I’d add one more to the mix. Since so many of you bought the circle punches last year to make your teacher & neighborhood gifts I thought I’d...

As you may have noticed, I’ve got a new category up in the navigation dedicated to Links I Love. You can find all the links from the last couple of years under that tab. Although I adore the new gallery style view of the posts, only the featured link pops up in the preview window. I want to make sure all the links I love get equal attention, so I’m shifting things on the site from now on. Rather than post all the links from the week in one recap post, I’ll be posting them individually throughout the week. I’ll...

At last! After many, many late nights the new MeckMom.com is finally ready. Don’t you just love it? Clean, simplified, and incredibly easy to navigate – it’s just what I was hoping for. We made a bunch of changes to the site structure but my personal favorite is the Idea Gallery. If a picture is worth a thousand words then the Idea Gallery is worth about a million or so. It gives you a quick preview of all the posts of the last five years of MeckMom – no titles, no tags, no words to get in the way – just...

Happy Friday, everyone. I’ve got a great new find for you iPhone lovers out there. I came across this app the other day and my kids can’t stop playing with it. It’s called Balloonimals and essentially it’s like having a clown tucked in your pocket. The game is incredibly simple. When it opens there are a bunch of deflated balloons to choose from. Once you choose your favorite, you blow into the microphone (or tap it on the iPod touch) to inflate the balloon. Give it a few good shakes and your balloon...
