I haven't had much of a problem with battery power, Renee. Although I use it often, I generally only use it on softer foods like breads, desserts and stacks of pancakes. Maybe that’s why I haven’t had a big issue with the batteries running out. I’ve replaced mine twice in the last 2 months.

If you’re planning to use it for tougher things like meat or need to use it for long periods of time, you might want to get a corded version. If you’re using it lightly, like me, this one should do the trick. I would also recommend picking up some rechargeable AA batteries (it needs 6). Thanks for the question.

This looks like what I need to slice bread. My husband is constantly saying I am cutting it crooked!! I never seem to get it right. LOL! I read the comments on Amazon and the only comment said that it runs out of battery power quickly. Have you found that to be a problem??? Thanks for this great idea. Love the blog. I refer to it often to read old posts. Always great ideas!
