Realizing you need to keep the plastic wrap from slipping off-- Be sure to not leave it on for longer than 30 min -- or find a way to put a piece of styrofoam or some small mint box or thing that will allow you to wrap around the area of the vent to allow sufficient airflow so the laptop won't overheat -- then maybe you can leave the plastic wrap on for longer periods of time.
