How did your Santa Sacks work out on Christmas in 2006 and 2007? I love this idea, but I am still trying to figure out the best size to make them. Was your fabric 45" wide or 60" wide? I like the muslin lining idea, and I think it would be fun to use a machine to embroider their name on the muslin part that sticks out at the top of the bag. I would like a little more dimension, if possible. Also, regarding the rope, did you sew it in like a drawstring or do you just use it to tie the bag shut? It is a little hard to tell because the photo is small.

My husband is concerned about them opening the sack and seeing all their gifts at once, so I thought I would make matching sacks in a few smaller sizes, that could go inside the large sack, or be placed under the tree as well. I'd appreciate an update to this post, as I am very interested in making these for my family. Thanks for your great ideas!!
